Individual Therapy

Anxiety, Depression, Emotional Exhaustion, Stress, Grief…

Regardless of what you call it right now, it hurts – it hurts a lot.

Life is becoming overwhelming to the point of feeling impossible.

The things you used to wake up and do without a problem now take all the effort and energy you can muster. You accomplish a task, but instead of joy, all you feel is exhaustion.

Forming relationships is hard, and your communication skills make it more difficult.

Perhaps it’s time to talk to someone about how you feel, someone who will listen and try to understand.

It makes sense; we understand.

Despite the pain you’re feeling, the idea of coming to someone and opening up about your struggles is terrifying, especially when there are no guarantees that it will make anything better.

Sharing your feelings with a new person doesn’t feel natural or safe.

As humans, we must feel safe physically and emotionally to grow and change.

Feeling safe and trusting your therapist is a prerequisite for growth, change, and healing.

It’s not in your DNA to face life alone.

We are all social creatures, so that means you are one, too. Being social is our superpower – it’s what makes us human!

We’re not the biggest or the strongest species, but we have the GREATEST ABILITY for connection.

Connecting is how we’ve survived and thrived over thousands of years.

Making a connection is what you need and deserve.

Not all connections create relationships.

Aren’t we the most connected that we’ve ever been? We indeed live in a world where we are more connected than ever before through our technology; that’s true.

But over the years, people have been reporting fewer and fewer close, personal relationships. In some ways, it is almost as if our technological advancements have stolen parts of our humanity.

And if we’re honest, the constant access to news, social media, and email is taking its toll.

That small computer in your purse or pocket is a fantastic gift, but it’s a curse, too.

Some things are non-negotiable.

We need others to feel like life is worth living.

Working as a team is how we help you. We will encourage you to open up with us in a safe, comfortable environment so you can feel seen and heard.

Counseling, foremost, is a relationship, and we will use our skills in the context of this relationship to help you grow.

Don’t go it alone; take the next step.

I know it’s scary, but I promise it’s worth it.

Our work together is about you.

I want to help you overcome and grow past whatever is keeping you stuck.

Please reach out. I am excited to get to know you!
